Welcome to Ellisville State School. Our facility is one of six state funded residential mental retardation facilities in Mississippi. Ellisville State School is under the jurisdiction of the State Board of Mental Health, specifically in the Bureau of Mental Retardation Division.
Our facility provides services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a designated 31 county catchment area. It is the goal of Ellisville State School to provide each individual we serve with appropriate services so that each will develop to the maximum of his or her ability. We desire through treatment and training to place each individual in his or her least restrictive environment.
