Public Relations at Ellisville State School
The goal of the Public Relations/Media Department is to promote the individuals who receive services through Ellisville State School, as well as the employees, and to provide the public with informative, current information regarding services and activities at Ellisville State School.
The department is responsible for the overall management and operation of internal and public information programs, as well as establishing and maintaining effective relations with the local community. The Public Relations Department also schedules tours of the facility and the community programs.
The Ellisville State School website is designed and maintained by media staff who are also responsible for producing all employee inservice videos.
Public Relations staff oversee the Adopt-A-Friend and Volunteer Programs and process all donations to the facility. The department also coordinates special events and religious services, and maintains a close liaison with the Jones County Foster Grandparent Program and the Family and Friends of ESS Organization.
